Who is behind this website?

Hi, my name is Tobias.

I live in in a small village right next to the alps. It's located in Bavaria, Germany. And yes, here is the famous "Oktoberfest" - once a year ;-)

I just wanted to write a paragraph to give you a short picture about myself.… I think it makes it way more personal in this virtual place :-)

Now, why should I travel three times a year, nearly 800 km one way beyond the alps to Croatia?

Well, to make it very short:

My biggest passion is travel

She was also born in Germany but her parents are from Croatia. They built a beautiful house on the island of Vir and so - the choice of our holidays became obvious. We are there three times a year.

The funny thing is, all this travelling made me three times as enthusiastic in Croatia as I already was :-)

Please don't get me wrong here. I am by no means an expert. I just love this country and want to share my travel experiences with you.

In fact, this site is very young but you wouldn't believe where my visitors are coming from. This site currently gets visitors from around 40 countries every single month. There are even readers from Iceland, Brazil, Kenya and the Phillipines - it's so crazy and now I really understand what the information super-highway (the internet) does - connecting people all over the world :-)

It feels great to be able to do something I love and share this knowledge with so many people from around the globe!

I get quite a lot of feedback from readers thanking me for all the information I provide here for free. Those E-Mails really mean a lot to me and it encourages me to keep on working on the site. It's really hard to beat, isn't it?

Now, some background to my person:

• I am 24 years old
• After school I made my alternative civilian service in Emergency Medical Services (very important time for me - I never want to miss)

• I made an apprenticeship as an IT-Specialist at a large Pharmaceutical company
• Currently I am studying commercial information technology in Munich and work part time in the company of my dad. It does the drilling for geothermal power.
  

Hmmmm….

Yes, I know! A very complement hobby in combinition with my passion for travel. I absolutely love taking pictures! I invested quite a lot of money in my camera equipment … well, at least for a student :-)

I love it because photography is a way to collect memories for life. And of course, I can share the most beautiful places in Croatia - with YOU!

So that's it - my story in a nutshell.
