Distance from Hvar to Dubrovnik
by: Tobias

Hi Nina,

depending on how you want to get to Dubvrovnik from Hvar...

By car:
From central Hvar to Dubrovnik (with one ferry ride from Sucuraj to Drvenik)
186 km and takes you something around 3 hours 30 minutes.

By ferry:
From the town Stari Grad (HVAR) you can take a ferry (also with your car) to Dubrovnik.
Please note that you have one stop at the island of Korcula for about 15 minutes.
The distance via ferry is something like 130 km and takes you 7 hours 15 minutes.

Here is an example schedule from the ferry provider "Jadrolinija" (please check the exact time table - this is just an example!)

STARI GRAD (HVAR) 08:15
KORCULA 11:15
KORCULA 11:30
DUBROVNIK 14:30

So you see that it might be quicker by car, but please also remember that during
peak season the coastal road can get very crowded!

In the end it might be less stressful if you take the ferry (and you also have a short
stop in Korcula where you can take some nice pictures). Plese note that this is my personal recommendation...

All the best and have a great time in Croatia!

PS: With Hvar and Dubvrovnik you really picked some of the most beautiful places in Croatia!

PPS: When you return from your trip I would be very happy to hear about your travel experiences.
