Passport special expiration rules

by Sime Barbarosa
(Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

Does my Canadian passport requires special expiration rules for Croatia?

In other words, do I need a valid passport for at least 6 months. My passport expires in 5 months and I have no time to make another one.

Croatia Travel Guides' answer: Hi Sime, uhm...that is a tough question as I am more involved with Croatia travel topics.

I know for sure that Europeans need to have a passport that is valid for at least 3 month. That's because the Visa for Europeans is 90 days in Croatia - and for that period you need to have a valid passport.

I would personally say that your passport should be valid for at least three month (which your passport does) - but I am not 100% sure. You migh want to check this with the Croatian embassy.
