Travel information about Split and Istria?
As for your inquiery - as I stated on the contact form: my croatia travel site is an information site only where I share my experiences/information about my Croatia journeys. So, I can't send you any information to your address. What I can send you to help making a better choice for your Croatia holiday are the following tips and links to some of my articles:
You want to visit Split? That's a fantastic decision!
Actually, Split is among my top three coastal cities to visit in Croatia. The city is so charming, has great historical buildings (a must visit is the Diocletian Palace which is one of the 6 Unesco World Heritage Sites in Croatia!), dozens of delicious restaurants and Cafes along the promenade, great hotels in every price range, a fabulous promenade with the popular huge palm trees and many more!
You can have a look at my three part photo series with explanations here: Split photos
I've also compiled an article about my recommended hotels in Split: Hotels in Split
Tip: Hotel Bellevue right at the promenade is gorgeous as well as the upscale accommodation - The Atrium Hotel.
When you want to explore the surrounding of Split - there are several choices:
1) Take the trip down to Dubrovnik (the pearl of the Adriatic), that's around 200 km from Split. I suggest to rent a car or take the ferry. Dubrovnik is one of the must-sees (but that's my personal view).
2) Krka waterfalls (also a National Park) is reachable within around 1,5 hours by car or bus. This really makes a great day-trip!
3) Why not explore a near island? I suggest to take the ferry from Split to Brac island (my recommendation) or Hvar. Brac houses THE most popular beach of Croatia - the so called Zlatni Rat beach (this beach was rated into the top five by USA today in 2006!). This makes also a great day trip and will really enhance your Croatia trip.
