Hi Ray,

Plitvice Lakes national park is open all year round from 8:00-19:00.

Depending on the tour you plan (from around 2-3 hours to 8 hours) you should start at 8:00 so that you have enough time.

I've been on the 3 hours tour with my girlfriend in 2008 and in the end we spent the whole day in the national park...
